Cleaning Cuckoo Clock Chains

In this video James Stewart explains a very simple and quick method to clean cuckoo clock chains using CLR, yielding nice looking clean chains in a matter of a couple minutes with minimal effort. It doesn’t get any easier!

For those of you that do not want that “new chain” look, you can follow this same method, but use Evapo-Rust available from Harbor Freight Tools. This will remove the rust from dirty brass coated steel chains on newer/vintage clocks, while leaving a nice patina so that they still look aged.
